Florida Reading Scholarship Guide — Which Scholarship Do You Have?

Florida families can use state scholarship funds to pay for reading tutoring and intensive programs at no out-of-pocket cost. Eardley Education Solutions (EES) is an approved provider for FES-UA (Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities) and PEP (Personalized Education Program). We do not accept FES-EO or FTC (Step Up For Students private school scholarships), which are designed for private school tuition.

FES-UA — Family Empowerment Scholarship for Unique Abilities

FES-UA is for students ages 3–22 with a qualifying disability: IEP, 504 Plan, dyslexia diagnosis, ADHD, ASD, language disorder, or other documented disability. The 2025–26 award is up to $10,307 per year. EES is an approved FES-UA provider for part-time tutoring, full-time tutoring, specialized after-school programs, and specialized summer programs. Applications for 2026–27 are open now at stepupforstudents.org.

PEP — Personalized Education Program (Homeschool)

PEP is for Florida K–12 students not enrolled full-time in a public or private school, including homeschoolers and hybrid arrangements. PEP funds can be used for reading tutoring and approved educational services. EES is an approved PEP provider. Applications are open year-round.

New Worlds Reading Scholarship — Spend Before June 30, 2026

New Worlds Reading Scholarship is no longer accepting new applications. Existing account holders with unspent funds must spend them before June 30, 2026 or they will be permanently returned to the state. EES accepts New Worlds funds for approved reading instruction. Contact us immediately if you have remaining New Worlds funds.

FES-EO / FTC — Not Accepted by EES

The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO, formerly FTC) is a private school tuition scholarship. EES is a tutoring and supplemental services provider and is not eligible to accept FES-EO or FTC. If you have FES-EO, contact your private school directly for approved uses.
